Become an author<\/strong>

If you\u2019re reading this page, we\u2019d first like to thank you for your interest in our publishing house.
Our catalogue covers three genres: Feel Good & RomCom Romance, Romantic Suspense<\/strong> and Romantasy<\/strong>. If you write stories that are told as series or book series and read like an ongoing saga \u2013 with recurring characters, settings and connections between the individual stories \u2013 then you\u2019ve come to the right place.

Requirements for your manuscript<\/strong>
In order for us to review a manuscript, it should already have been fully revised. Please do not send us any rough drafts.

The following general conditions apply to our programme:<\/strong>
– Length:<\/strong> approximately 18,000 to a maximum of 35,000 words<\/strong>
– Format:<\/strong> novellas \/ short novels that are quick to read
– Narrative style:<\/strong> dialogue-driven \u2013 for us, characters, relationships and dialogue are at the heart of the story
– Descriptions:<\/strong> atmospheric, but not overly detailed \u2013 long, detailed descriptions are not the focus of our program
Our stories thrive on dynamism, emotion and interaction between the characters.

Collaboration<\/strong>
We view our publishing house as a partnership between authors and the publisher. Everyone plays their part in ensuring that books reach readers.
This also means that we expect our authors to play an active role in promoting their books \u2013 for example, through a presence on social media, at promotional events, or by engaging with readers.
This collaboration is a key part of our approach.

Digital Publisher<\/strong>
We are a digitally focused publisher specialising in e-books and other digital publications. This enables us to distribute our books throughout the European Union and reach readers regardless of national book markets.

Remuneration<\/strong>
Our remuneration model is transparent and the same for all authors.
35% author\u2019s share per e-book<\/strong> sold, calculated on the basis of the net retail price
The net retail price may vary depending on VAT rates in individual EU countries

In addition, all titles will be added to our Escape Plus portal.<\/strong>
Escape Plus is our subscription service, which gives readers access to our programme.
The revenue generated is distributed as follows:
45% of total revenue<\/strong> goes to the pool of authors
The total amount is distributed equally among all authors
Payments are made monthly, in the middle of the following month<\/strong>
This model ensures equal remuneration, regardless of how many pages have been read or how long a title has been in the catalogue.

International editions<\/strong>
Selected titles from our programme are also translated<\/strong> into, amongst others:
– German
– Spanish
– French
– Italian<\/strong>

This way, our stories can also reach readers outside the German-speaking world.
